Was it real? Sounds stupid but when I went to Asia they sold fake GBA games at almost every market. I never bought one but it'd be interesting to see if they worked.

It’s fake, because the original has PEGI 12+ (in this case ESRB T) and Alien Hominid was never officially released on the GBA in America, only in Europe.
